Adding a touch of luxury to your living space that mirrors the mood outdoors has never been more on trend. When it comes to creating a slice of autumnal bliss behind your very own front door, we have done all the hard work for you. Join FLOWERBX founder, Whitney Bromberg Hawkings, as she shares her ways to upgrade your home surroundings for the season ahead, all with the help of some floral essentials.
When it comes to creating the perfect autumnal mood, there is no better place to start than on your very own doorstep. Get creative with pumpkins and gourds in clusters, arranging them in your porch or dotted up your front steps, and be sure to use different sizes and shapes to create a display with plenty of depth. For maximum impact, nothing says Fall styling like a seasonal wreath. Opt for our Autumn Wreath, made from rich red preserved leaves, to carry the season's deep tones into your home, and choose from Premium or Extraordinary, depending on your door size. More into minimal chic? Our Wheat Wreath will work with any door colour, while its cinnamon velvet ribbon adds a touch of tonal luxe.
As the temperature drops outside, there is no better time to get cosy and create an autumn feel indoors. Adorn your chimney breast with one of our seasonal wreaths, and add a touch of charm to your fireplace with a curated display of vibrant pumpkins and multi-toned gourds. Looking to create a show-stopper arrangement? Our selection of fall-friendly florals were made for the occasion, and I personally like to fill our large Apothecary vase with seasonally-toned hydrangea, or delicately impactful autumn roses; their indulgent hues will do just the trick. Finally, set the tone by lighting our Eucalyptus candle, or spritzing your surroundings with one of our mood-boosting room sprays. Autumnal interior perfection!
For fail-safe fall styling, one of the first things on everyone's seasonal to-do list should be curating the perfect autumnal tablescape. This year, I will be recreating our Tangerine Dream Wickstead tablescape almost every other weekend, which is as simple to arrange as it is to enjoy. I work with single variety bunches of our Burnt Amber calla lilies, and do the same with our vibrant Free Spirit roses, and then display them dotted across the table in a trio of our glistening Wickstead vases. To add extra texture and detail, I may weave through miniature pumpkins, and always make sure that I add those extra-special finishing touches, like hand-written menus, tonal linen, Ester and Erik taper candles, and coordinating glassware. This display would work perfectly for Thanksgiving, or any other last-minute seasonal celebration!
When it comes to the colder months, I am a huge believer in making my home an autumnal haven. This calls for all of those additional finishing touches that make your surroundings feel extra-indulgent on an everyday basis. An easy way to set a seasonal mood is with the right fragrance, and our Eucalyptus candle and coordinating room spray really encapsulate all of my favourite things about the scent of fall. Another way I love to carry the autumnal feel throughout my home is with vases of single variety stemmed flowers in rich and warming shades, or timely arrangements of tonal yellow, amber, and orange gourds in every hidden corner; from window-sills to kitchen counters!
