Chinese Lantern

Chinese Lantern

Nothing speaks autumn like the deep orange of a Chinese Lantern flower. Though their name is suggestive of Chinese origins, this plant is actually native to Europe, Southern Asia and Japan and it’s their physical appearance that resembles that of a traditional lantern. Flowering through the summer, it’s during the autumnal months that this flower becomes its fullest, bearing fruit inside the seed pod covers, alongside its vivid green foliage.
