MEET: Whitney Bromberg Hawkings
FLOWERBX Founder & CEO
Our founder and CEO, Whitney Bromberg Hawkings, has unrivalled style credentials. After starting her career in Paris, she worked for Tom Ford during his time as Creative Director at Gucci – a period now known as one of the house's most influential.
She continued to collaborate closely alongside Ford for almost two decades, by his side from the launch of his eponymous label in 2005 and eventually, as Communications Director at TOM FORD. Following a successful career in fashion, Whitney made the bold decision to venture into the world of flowers, where she used all she knew about the planet's most established tastemakers to start a new and extraordinary chapter.
Having watched the fashion elite communicate through their favourite signature blooms – always single-varietal, always of the most superior quality – she understood flowers' capability to tell a story while continuing to represent the sender through their impeccable aesthetic choices. Whether it be Fashion Week in Milan or a collection launch on the Upper East Side of New York – flowers were of the same luxury quality as the couture.
Whitney knew there was a market to bring this to life through a wider lens, and that her peers in London were also seeking this chic, elevated finish which wasn't available through local florists. With that, FLOWERBX grew from an idea to reality, with Ford as the first of a now-established client list of the world's leading fashion, beauty, and premium hospitality names.
