PINK DE PROVENCE FRENCH TULIP
Pink de Provence French tulips are loved for their soft, sweet colour and subtle ability to change with the light. Their tall stems support generous blooms in warm apricot-pink tones with gentle coral undertones. The colour feels reminiscent of slow days in the South of France – think soft coastal mornings, crisp, fruity rosé, sunlit plaster walls, and the delicate warmth of early spring.
The Pink de Provence's tall and elegant stems will almost immediately begin to move in the vase and amaze with their flair and movement.

Why we LOVE it
Pink de Provence is admired for its remarkable colour variation. In cooler light, the flower leans toward a soft rose pink. In bright sunlight, it warms into apricot and coral tones, revealing the golden pigments within the petals.
As the tulip opens fully, delicate veining becomes visible, creating a luminous effect often compared to mother-of-pearl.
The petals appear almost translucent, allowing light to pass through them and creating a glow that shifts throughout the day, from soft morning pink to warm evening coral.
About French Tulips
French tulips are widely considered the most luxurious tulip variety available. Unlike standard tulips, which typically grow between 12 and 16 inches tall, French tulips can reach an impressive 24 to 36 inches.
Their large buds open gradually into expansive blooms with softly curved petals. As they mature, the petals often develop a delicate translucence that beautifully catches the light.
One of the most distinctive traits of French tulips is their movement. Even after cutting, the stems continue to grow and gently bend toward the light – a natural behaviour often described as the flowers “dancing” in the vase.
Thanks to their thick, resilient stems and slow-grown cultivation, French tulips are also known for their exceptional vase life, often lasting more than 7 days when properly cared for.
Your tulip care tips
- Trim 1–2cm from each stem and place in cold, clean water.
- Keep away from direct heat or sunlight to slow their natural bend.
- Refresh water daily for maximum vase life.
- Expect movement — tulips continue to grow after cutting.
- Please keep tulips away from pets and children as they are toxic and should not be consumed

Seasonal & Sourcing Detail
Our French tulips are grown slowly in open soil rather than forced in climate-controlled greenhouses. This slower development allows the stems to build stronger cellular structure, supporting the large blooms while efficiently transporting water throughout the stem.
The result is a tulip that feels noticeably more substantial than standard varieties – taller, stronger, and longer-lasting.
At FLOWERBX, we source French tulips from trusted growers known for producing exceptional stems at the peak of the spring season.
Because of their slow cultivation and limited availability, French tulips are produced in smaller quantities and remain one of the most sought-after seasonal flowers we offer.
