FLORAL CALENDAR
At FLOWERBX, each and every month brings with it an array of new favourite flowers. From the sweet tones of snapdragons and peonies that adorn the warmer months, to rich and indulgent shades of hydrangea and ranunculus that arise as the temperature drops, we truly believe that every seasonal change unearths another realm of floral beauty. In short - there is not a moment to be missed when shopping flowers seasonally, which is why we have created a calendar to make sure that you fully embrace each floral variety, and discover new classics as you do.
PRE-SPRING
With a new year comes new flowers, as the early months offer a dose of delicate freshness that delights. Long gone are the berried foliage and festive florals of the previous season, with hints of spring in the air, thanks to colourful tulips and the prettiest of anemones. Colour-pop flowers from sunshine mimosa and narcissus, to candy-toned lilac make a welcome arrival, with soft, dainty textures just waiting to be discovered.

SPRING
As March arrives, a new season is in full swing. Brighter days are here, as the scent of spring calls for a new floral backdrop. Tantalising tulips are still in bloom, joined by another sprinkling of fragrant favourites. Bold brights meet sugar-kissed pastels, as the perennial likes of hyacinth and freesia are joined by towering snapdragons and the sweetness of lily of the valley. Not forgetting your spring bulbs, which will now begin showcasing the beauty you have been waiting for since winter.

EARLY SUMMER
The first tastes of summer mark the beginnings of British flower season, with an abundance of the best to be found on home-grown soil. Divinely scented sweet peas and graceful scabiosa offer an airy elegance, paired with the likes of tonal delphinium, and stocks in every candied shade. The jewel in summer's crown - frothy, fluffy peonies - are finally here in colours that range from ballet slipper-pink to clean, crisp ivory. In contrast to the soft textures of the season, dramatically bold calla lily make their premier appearance, set to turn heads for months to come.

HIGH SUMMER
With sun-kissed days and balmy long evenings ahead, the summer season welcomes a new selection of rainbow shades. In contrast to earlier light and ethereal tones, high summer's hues are brighter and bolder, with varieties that reach dizzy new heights. Meet the most blousy of hydrangea, long-stemmed lilies, and showstopper sunflowers, for flowers guaranteed to make an impact on even the first of glances. Allium, foxtail lilies, campanula, and lisianthus offer dramatic lengths, with a delicate display of everything from sweetly petalled flowers to pom-pom heads. Not to be missed, expect your first seasonal sightings of the years' dahlias and roses, too.

PRE-FALL
The close of the summer marks a transition between seasons, as the lingering warmth of the previous months evolves into impending autumnal delight. As we await the wonders of colder days ahead, take time before they arrive to watch some end-of-summer flowers truly come into their own. Dahlias that had already begun to dazzle now arrive in jewelled hues, each being more divine than the last. Summer's roses also choose a new palette, as sweetly coloured varieties adapt and offer deeper, more indulgent tones to match nature's new mood.

FALL
With crisper mornings and colder nights on the horizon, fall arrives along with a new repertoire of best-in-show florals. Alongside a sky awash with trees of burnt auburn and rich red, the season also signifies a change of scene when it comes to flower varieties. As a star of the season, the hydrangea we met back in the summer months has left behind its feminine colour scheme, replacing it with autumnal sage green, dark plum, and deep burgundy as a nod to the months ahead.

WINTER
With a festive feeling all around, winter welcomes a new collection of seasonal flowers. Varieties full of Christmas sparkle are plentiful, as ilex berries team up with hypericum, pine, and skimmia for a palette that perfectly captures the Holiday spirit. Ruby-red amaryllis are paired with anemones and ranunculus in similar shades, with the first sign of tulips signifying the start of something new ahead.
