SET THE MOOD FOR
THE SEASON WITH FLOWERBX

When it comes to Holiday decor, finding a balance in every room is essential. From establishing the atmosphere at your front door, to adding the element of surprise in unexpected places, no corner should be left unconsidered this Christmas. We spoke to FLOWERBX founder, Whitney Bromberg Hawkings, on her favourite festive interior ingredients, that will have you serving up at-home styling success all season long.

Front Door Wreath

GLORIOUS FIRST GLANCES

Curate an initial impact that is guaranteed to spark festive joy, by adding a selection of Christmas classics to your front garden. I always start by choosing my wreath, and let the tones and textures of its foliage lend themselves to the rest of my outdoor decor. For maximum Holiday impact, I team our Red Berry Wreath with a deep burgundy velvet bow for styling that epitomises yuletide luxe. At FLOWERBX, we have designed a variety of wreaths with a range of different needs and finishes, and you can get an idea of which style would suit you best in our Wreath Care Guide and Wreath Styling Guide. Lastly, adorn your porch or steps with a pair of our Poinsettia Plants for a seasonal look that lasts.

HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS

Cosy by the fire side, mulled wine in hand, I love nothing more than embracing the season in the most comforting corners of my home. From the central Holiday heroes to the delicate little extras, curating the perfect blend of festive decor is essential to ensuring that every room sings this season. I always start with a talking-point Christmas Tree and define its spot by both location and aesthetic. Positioning a tree somewhere that it will thrive is paramount to making sure that it still looks its very best at your New Year's Eve soirée.

Next, vases of bountiful festive flowers are a must. I like to bunch together stems of fluffy winter whites, hypericum, and eucalyptus in single varieties and let them adorn every corner. This year, bringing the two together could not be simpler, thanks to the FLOWERBX Floral Tree, which you can recreate for yourself at home, too. Discover our Floral Tree styling here.

Of course, adding a coordinating wreath and garland to your chimney breast and mantlepiece is a must. Finally, nothing is as evocative of the season as a woody scent, so before my guests arrive, I like to scent the room with something divine. Needless to say, my current favourite for the weeks ahead is our seasonal Eucalyptus candle.

Mantle Wreath

DINE DIVINELY

Whether you are hosting a houseful for a Holiday banquet, or something a little more low-key with close friends and family; this Christmas, you deserve a decadent dining set-up. To truly make the most of it, I like to team up tonal flowers with coordinating touches, from rich and abundant garlands, to centrepieces that evoke the feeling of the season. We have rounded up how to style a table for every occasion in our Holiday Tables edit, full of inspiration for entertaining all yuletide long. I for one will be recreating our Ruby Red Wickstead Table on the big day, full of jewelled tones and deep green foliage, teamed perfectly with an Extraordinary-sized matching wreath on our adjacent feature wall.

AN ENCHANTING ENTRANCE

Guarantee that your guests feel like they have stepped into a winter wonderland as they enter your home, by creating an entranceway that encompasses their every season's wish. To do so, it will be the little touches that create the biggest impact, that can be scaled up or down to fit your home no matter the size. I love to team our signature vases with tall stems of hypericum and ilex berries, and stand them from the floor upwards to create a display with plenty of depth. This year, I will be hard-pressed to choose between which of our glorious garlands I weave up my staircase! They are always my favourite way to tie together the festive feel of each room, so I plan to dress my shelves, console tables, and mantlepieces accordingly, too. If you want to add some colour to hidden corridor nooks, our Potted Poinsettia creates a touch of Holiday magic that will last into the New Year, and are ideal for adorning even the smallest of hallways.
