The DETAILS

Lilac is a cut branch and will last up to a week at home in the right conditions. To help your lilac branches last for longer:
- Recut each branch at a sharp diagonal angle
- Split the base of each branch vertically by about 1cm, to allow water to move more easily up the stem
- Remove all excess foliage which would sit below the waterline in your vase
- Keep branches in a cooler area, away from direct heat, sunlight and draughts
- Remember to change the water in your vase regularly and add the flower food provided
- If stems begin to drop, re-cut each branch with a fresh diagonal cut and add tepid water. This will help re-hydrate your flowers and clear any small blockages in the stems

The Lilac is a tall stem (measurement approximate).

Recut diagonally, split base of branch with secateurs to increase water flow and remove all excess foliage before placing in cool water.  All foliage should be above the waterline. Your Lilac will respond best to temperatures between 10 and 15 degrees C.

Use specific plant food for Lilac and they will respond well to changing water regularly.
