What are your tips for arranging flowers for a dinner party? Or for your house for any occasion?

I always vary in size. I will always do one big central bouquet and 3 medium sized ones around the living areas. I usually always have a big bouquet at the center of the table if I’m doing a buffet.

How does your flower choice reflect your personal style? And your interior style?

I choose flowers based on their colour and shape which is very similar to my approach to furniture I don’t look into history and meaning as much I’m more visual.

What are the most beautiful or significant flowers that you’ve ever been given?

My father and brother used to send me flowers on Valentines Day since I was a little girl and I think that is so special. It was always so sweet that no matter what I knew I would receive flowers from the men in my life on that day.

What is your most powerful memory involving flowers and scent?

I have a very strong memory of the scent of Gardenia’s in my home town of Beirut. Whenever I smell that scent anywhere in the world it brings me straight back to my childhood and this charming scent that was always floating in the city.

How does having flowers in your home change the atmosphere? How does being surrounded by flowers make you feel?

Happy. Flowers are alive. I find myself sometimes speaking to them and saying hi to my plants every morning. I’m serious.

What flowers do you most like to give and why?

I usually give roses. Colour depending on the who I am sending them to.

What flowers would you most like to be given and why?

I always appreciate when I receive yellow flowers because that’s my favourite colour.
